This Man Knows

I once knew a man who knew what he was doin',
Seems like in this date and time a man like him,
Is becoming more scarce to find..
He started out selling pencils,
For pennies and not a nickel more,
He and His Old Lady,
Met Sometime after the war,
He purchased up some farm land up north,
And then there first child was born,
And as time went on,
More kids came along..
Soon the river down by the bay stopped flowing,
All the kids moved out,
And grand kids started growing,
The First borns looked more like him,
And they came over time and time again,
Then one day the old man died,
Years later he and his Old Lady did re-unite,
The Children inherited the land that was left behind,
Some may remember him as a political man,
Some may remember him by the shovel in his hand,
Some may say he was even slowly losing his mind,
No, He was just a man who knew what he was doin',
A man who knew what he was doin' all this time."

Beast Mode

She's a pistol slingin', Rope Twirlin' southern charm,
Bottle o' Jack and a flask strapped to her arm,
He's a banker from the east who doesn't slam on the peddle,
He just takes it with ease,
But when these two people meet,
He'll be down on his knees,
Baggin' Lord Can I have her please?"

You got your Short Coming's, Long Running's,
But Life never really turns out the way you planned,
You can draw some new cards Or
You can stick with what you got in your hand,
Or you can just flat out fold,
You can follow orders or stay true to the code,
Or you can saddle up man,
And do it in Beast Mode.

Now she needed him to widen her stride,
He needed her to make him be more alive,
With one look they became each other's pride,
They became unstoppable with love on there side..
Now You can follow the river Or You can follow the road,
Call up the station and tell 'em you need to be towed,
Or you can rip off your shirt, Bust out the tools
And do it Beast Mode.

Now he know's, She can handle her own,
She's not just a flower she is also thorn-ed,
And she know's, He's not one to often explode,
But when there is fear in his mind
And a Crazy look in his eye,
For his Southern Pride he will be in Beast Mode.

And as they struggled and strode,
If one ever became Lassoed,
You'd best better be ready,
For both of them set in Beast Mode,
For both of them,
Set in Beast Mode."
